A bevy of beauties, aspiring to be future models, descending on an exotic international destination has spread the word around about what is likely to come up in cycle 14 of the reality talent hunt show ‘America’s Next Top Model’. According to the popular NZ Herald, reports have come that the contestants of ‘America’s Next Top Model’ have already started shooting one of the last episodes of the cycle and that it is based in New Zealand.

Isaac Hindin Miller (who blogs on fashion) has written in his blog that the participants have been filming a runway challenge which also includes a few of the popular local models. According to Miller, an unnamed source has even gone to the extent of informing him that Tyra Banks herself has been packing her bags and getting ready to fly into the country as soon as next week. Not just this, the hostess of the show herself has confirmed this exciting bit of news by posting an announcement on her much followed Twitter account.

Even though this has dampened the surprise factor by quite a bit, one can never shoot down Miss Banks’ declarations. She informs the followers of her Twitter account that all the rumours they have heard are true and they are the first people to know that ‘America’s Next Top Model’ is shifting to New Zealand for cycle 14 of the show. She also eagerly says that she just can’t wait to get down there and quizzes her followers as to whether they are as excited as her or not.

Tyra didn’t even stop to consider the fact that all the involved people on ‘America’s Next Top Model’ are supposed to sign an agreement regarding confidentiality issues. Now that she has let the cat out of the Top Model bag, there is just no stopping her on this issue.

She follows up her posts again later by tweeting that it was clearly evident that they are moving to New Zealand for the 14th cycle of the Top Model Show as every cycle they travel to a new country for fresh and exciting challenges.

However the show hostess did well to keep her mouth shut regarding the specifics of the plans. Isaac Miller’s unnamed source goes on to say that the final episodes of the show will be shot in the beautiful locales of South Island and Queenstown. However another such “inside man” informs us to say that North Island is also being considered as a serious possibility.

With cycle 13 being based out of Hawaii and now New Zealand, there is absolutely no iota of doubt that the show is going places. While the country has its own version of the Fashion Week, a Top Model shoot is more of an oddity than a normal occurrence.

Of course there’s been Flight of the Conchords and LOTR but that’s another story altogether. At the end of the day the bottom line reads: Top Model is in New Zealand for cycle 14.
